One of the great songs in recent times....perfect blend of great lyrics by na muthukumar.....excellent music by yuvan....awesome singing by sriram parthasarathy.

I started watching this movie (did not realize it was tamil ma director Ram's movie, it was a while since kattradhu tamil released) and this song started playing. The moment it started with all the green background mountain spots, sriram parthasarathy's voice reminding us of the elangaathu veesudhae's magic, i knew this movie is going to be special. I did not pay attention to the lyrics a lot at that moment, the scenes, father-daughter playing took over my thoughts. 

Watched the movie fully with teary eyes and felt very good. Hats off to Director Ram for this attempt, after Tamil MA, which I liked a lot, except for a few scenes, where the director wanted to show the real frustration of the hero. Once I started humming the song aananda yazhai....my 3 year old daughter caught up to it and started humming it too and this became our favorite tamil song in the last couple of years.

Translation as I understood : 

There is no better time to destroy the worst human diseases like anger and desire. The only way to do that is to reach lord shiva's feet. So, lets get together and go to shivapuram and keep praying the name of universal master shiva and hope the gates of shivapuram will let us in.

The song written in 9th century, identifies anger and desire as the two worst human diseases. The poem equates lord shiva with the master of the universe or the controller of the universe. Hence, to destroy these diseases and stop the suffering of humans, we have to reach the master. The creator of the universe only can guarantee eternal peace. The master's door will let us in only if we trust him and surrender to him completely.

The charanam starts with the grandma looking at her door waiting for her grand daughter.....The best line for me in this song is Jeeva Deepangal Oyium Neram Neeyum Neiyaha Vanthaai....this line is the peak of the paragraph.....indicating that the return of a loved one can increase ones lifetime.....and the aanadha kaneer after seeing her.....finally ending by saying that your return is like a re-birth to me....(Paethi Endraalum Neeyum Enthaai).......

I can only say chance'eh illa.....respect respect and only respect for vairamuthu sir......

" aruna malai guru ramana - one of the best and understandable philosophical song that i have heard.

This is my second post in the list of legendary lyrics. this song is about requesting blessings from the great ramana maharishi to eliminate the thought of ego from our mind, sung by illaiyaraja (IR). Bhagavan sri ramana maharishi is one of the greatest souls in the world. He wrote several books on the concept of self realization titled "who am i". To your left is the photo of ramana maharishi, there is another song by IR in this album, "karanam indri kanneer varum undhan karunai vizhiai kandaal", u can see it why from this photo. In chennai we had a ramana ashramam very close to my house, I used to go there very often but without knowing the greatness of this person. No one really told much about him to me, but it was also my ignorance that I never had the thirst to know about different things. Paayum Oli nee enakku - Bharathiyar Songs

Mahakkavi Subramanya Bharathiyar, one of the best poets in indian history. He is a revolutionary writer, with his intersets going beyond, language nation and freedom movement. He is born on 11 Dec 1882 in Ettayapuram, Thoothukudi Dist, in Saiva Brahmin family. Several of his songs have inspired me and paayum oli nee enakku is as good as any one of them. I did not find this song's lyric online, hence wrote it and posting here. I am not sure of two lines and marked with a star, corrections are welcome.
